As well as, being an author, Ana is a primary school teacher. Ana loves working with children, encouraging them to think outside the box, to be kind, to take risks, to question everything and to always be themselves. This is something that can be seen in her writing.
Since being a child Ana has always had a passion for drawing, her passion for reading came much later when she completed her degree in English Literature and History.
Ana's stories all have a moral and underlying ethical or environmental dilemmas.
Ana was born in Portugal, but raised in the UK. She now lives by the coast with her husband, her two sons and their cat.
Both of Ana's sons are big readers and so are always the first to read her stories. They are their mother's biggest fans.
Ana loves travelling, reading, all things Disney, drawing, walking and cooking. Ana's favourite colour is yellow, her favourite season is Spring, her favourite animals are orcas, hippos, dogs, cats and giraffes. Ana's favourite picture books are The Lorax, Stick Man, Our Class is a Family, The Book with No Pictures, The Good Egg, Please Mr Panda, Princess Hair and This Book Just ate My Dog!
